Decorative Snowballs

Decorative Snowballs Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Work on a flat surface. Use cardboard or newspaper to protect your surface.
  2. Separate a small amount of fiberfill-enough to loosely cover one styro ball. Working on one side at a time, spray on adhesive and immediately press fiberfill in place. Spread it around the ball as you press it onto the adhesive with your hands. You will end up with a loose fuzzy ball. Repeat until ball is covered. This layer creates the uneven shape and texture of the snowball. Let dry. Apply more adhesive to areas that seem too loose. Let dry.
  3. Pour pellets into a large bowl or onto a large plate. Spray one side of the ball with adhesive. Immediately roll the ball in the pellets, adhering the pellets to the fiberfill covered ball. The clear pellets mimic the look of ice crystals. Repeat for all sides until the entire ball is covered. Note: Like a real snowball, it will not be uniform; it will be slightly lumpy and randomly covered with pellets. Let dry.
  4. Continue until all your styrofoam balls are covered. Gently arrange the snowballs in the decorative container mixing large, medium and small sizes.
