Away in the Snow - Snowman Nativity

Supplies:

Two 1 1/2” wooden balls
Two 1” wooden balls
One 2 3/4” wooden star
Mini trees
4”x4” fabric scraps
blush or chalk for cheeks
Sealer
Wood glue & hot glue
Acrylic paints: orange, gold, white, green
Black craft wire
Two 3/4” wooden mini spools
Two 1/2” wooden balls
1 twig bird nest
10” styrofoam disk
1/4” wide gold wire ribbon
Black permanent marker
Fiber-fill batting or Warm and Natural
Paper clay for roses
Fiber-fill stuffing

Instructions:
Mary & Joseph:
Glue 1 1/2" wooden ball to 3/4" mini-spool. Paint ball white and seal. Cut 8" circle out of batting or warm and natural. Baste around edge. Fill with stuffing. Gather basting. Fit head into center of basting and pull tight. Glue to secure. Cut out heart shape in fabric and glue to chest area. Add a bit of stuffing to top of Joseph's head. Cut 4"x4" square. Fold one edge back and glue. Drape over head and glue with folder area going across forehead. Secure narrow gold ribbon around raised area of Joseph's head. Make eyes and mouth with permanent marker and blush on cheeks.

Baby:
Glue 1/2" ball to 1" ball and paint white. Wrap in fabric. Make face with marker pen.

Angel:
Glue 1/2" ball to 1" ball. Paint white. Using narrow gold wire ribbon, make bow for wings and circle for halo. Attach halo to straight piece of ribbon going up back of head. Paint sign green and write "Peace" in gold. Glue sign to front of angle. Curl wire a bit and arch across trees and glue. Paint star gold and attach to wire. Glue scene onto styrofoam disk. Place baby in bird nest. Glue angle to tree or arch of wire.
