Spooky Spoons Supplies:
  • RIGHTSTEP “Gloss” Varnish
  • 1 (12”) wooden spoon
  • 1 (10”) wooden spoon
  • 1 (12”) wooden fork
  • 1 (5 ¾”) wooden spoon
  • 1 (5 ¾”) wooden fork
  • 1 (5”) terra cotta pot
  • 2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
  • 9 (7mm) wiggle eyes
  • 1 (¼”) button
  • 1ft. of black tulle
  • 18” cheese cloth
  • Spooky mix raffia (natural, orange & black)
  • Acrylic Paint - Dunes Beige, Lima Green, Purple, White, Coral, Black, Tompte Red, Bahama Purple, Pumpkin, Red Clay & Jubilee Green
  • 1 purple chenille stem
  • 1 black chenille stem
  • Violet excelsior grass
  • Black excelsior grass
  • Green raffia
  • Liner brush
  • Sponge brush
  • Stencil brush
  • Glue gun & hot glue sticks
  • Wood sign

Instructions - Ghost:

  1. Paint 12” wooden spoon white. Let dry. Using a stencil brush, dry brush cheeks with Coral acrylic paint.
  2. Dot on eyes and mouth in black.
  3. Tie a black raffia bow around the neck of the ghost. Glue in place if necessary.

Instructions - Tiny Skeleton:

  1. Mix white paint with a drop of Bahama Purple. Paint 5 ¾” spoon with this mixture. Paint face in black. Fill eyeballs in with Tompte Red.

Instructions - Alien:

  1. Base paint 5 ¾” fork with Lima Green paint.
  2. Weave chenille stem in and out of the fork. The chenille stem should protrude at either end. Repeat this process with a black chenille stem.
  3. Paint a nose and a crooked smile with black paint.
  4. Glue one 10mm wiggle eye to the forehead. And glue 7mm wiggle eyes to the end of each chenille stem.

Instructions - Mummy:

  1. Base paint a 10” wooden spoon with white paint. Hot glue one end of cheese cloth to the spoon. Wrap the entire spoon, secure the end with hot glue.
  2. Glue two 7mm eyes in place. Now tie an orange raffia bow around the mummy’s neck.

Instructions - Witch:

  1. Using Dunes Beige, paint the front/face fork portion of the 12” fork. Paint the back portion of the fork in Jubilee Green. Paint the stick and handle with Purple.
  2. Glue strands of raffia on the fork, trim hair at the forehead to create bangs.
  3. Glue on two 7mm wiggly eyes and a ¼” button for the nose. Paint the nose Dunes Beige.
  4. Use a handful of black excelsior grass to make a funky beehive hairdo for the witch. Place the matted `do over the fork and glue in place. Tie some green raffia around the fork to hold the excelsior into place. Glue a 10mm wiggle eye and a 7mm eye to the witch’s hair.
  5. Tie 12” of tulle around the witch’s neck to create a cape.
  6. Paint in the detail on the witch’s face. Refer to Fig. 1 & 2.

Instructions - Jack-O-Lantern Pot:

  1. Basecoat 5” terra cotta pot with Pumkin paint. Let dry. Refer to Fig. 3

Instructions - Ghoul Evening Sign:

  1. Base paint black.
  2. Fill in detail. Refer to Fig. 4
  3. Using a stencil brush, dry brush Bahama Purple over entire surface.
  4. Varnish with RIGHTSTEP “Gloss” Varnish
