Dreaded Dracula
Supplies:
- 1 small hexagon shaped paper maché box
- 2 (10mm) wiggle eyes
- 1 (¼”) wood button
- Elf dust
- Two wood teardrop shapes
- RIGHTSTEP clear varnish
- Glue gun & hot glue sticks
- Acrylic paint: White, Black, Wisteria,
Bahama Purple & Dunes Beige
- Brushes: #1 liner brush, #10 flat
Instructions:
- Basecoat the box with Dunes Beige.
- Dip a dry #10 brush into Bahama Purple. Work off MOST of the excess paint. Run the brush over the surface of the paper maché box.
- Using a dry brush, paint Wistera cheeks. This method works best if the brush moves in a circular motion, beginning in the center and working its way out.
- Paint black on the sides of the box; where hair should be.
- Use Fig. 1 as a guide when painting Dracula’s face.
- For the hair: Make white dotted lines around the hairline. Using Bahama Purple, paint some squiggle lines, making sure to follow the shape of the box. Use white to shadow the purple squiggle lines.
- Use Dunes Beige to paint two wood teardrops. Hot glue one on each side of the Dracula where ears should be.
- Brush elf dust over hair and cheeks.
- Seal with RIGHTSTEP varnish.
