Wood Preparation
Supplies:
- Fine Sandpaper or Sanding Disk
- Tack Cloth
- Any waterbased wood sealer of your choice
- Foam Brush
- Acrylic Paint
Instructions:
- There are several different ways to seal your wood. The first step for all techniques is to sand the wood with fine sandpaper until a smooth texture is achieved.
- Wipe clean with a tack cloth.
Spraying:
- After sanding, spray wood with a light coat of acrylic sealer.
- Sand wood again.
- Spray another light coat of acrylic sealer. Sand again if necessary.
- Brush on base coat of paint with a foam brush. It may take 2 or 3 coats.
Brush On:
- After sanding, brush on wood sealer of choice. Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Sand wood again if necessary.
- Brush on base coat paint with foam brush. It may 2 or 3 coats.
