Get Your Craft on at the HandMade Brigade Craft Fair at the Tall Mouse in Cerritos!
Get ready to give “crafty” a whole new meaning. The HANDMADE BRIGADE is coming to town! Definitely NOT your typical doilies and lace craft show experience, the family owned and operated independent craft store, Tall Mouse Arts and Crafts, will be hosting an Indie craft fair. The event will be held at the Tall Mouse in Cerritos on Saturday July 12, 2008 (13233E. South St. Cerritos, Ca 90703). Contributors to the goodie bags are:
* Buttered Parsnips- I've enjoyed making things since I can remember, although many of my efforts were forgettable. I've really gotten the crafting bug since joining etsy.com in 2006. Right now I have a shop full of fabric covered buttons that I can turn into magnets, bookmarks, pendants, earrings, rings, hair clips and ponytail holders for my customers. I receive mostly large orders for buttons, just as they are, for sewing. When things are a little slower I like to try my hand at soldering pendants for necklaces - a lovely piece of art in between 2 pieces of glass. I also enjoy sewing and hope to be able to make some summer tops to add to my shop. I dabble a bit in jewelry making which is a lot of fun. I guess I just like to try and take an idea and see if I can make it take shape.Donated fun Fabric covered button magnets! I create in plush because you cannot hug a painting. I create in paint because it can take you places that nothing else can. Every one should have the option to have original art in their homes- it shouldn't be the exclusive domain of the wealthy. If I can get people to smile or laugh at what I've created, then I've succeeded. Absolutely Small is run by Claire Chambers from a teeny tiny town in the foothills of Northern California. All art, softies, and other creations in the Absolutely Small shop are my original designs.
